What is the Shroomtopia Cup?
The Shroomtopia Cup is a multiplayer event where players compete to breed the highest quality customized strain. You will be able to register and create your own unique strain to participate in the current or upcoming Shroomtopia Cup. Once the competition begins, you will be able to plant your own strain and have a chance to get Epic Shrooms from it, which is the key item of the event.
You will have up to 48 hours to use the research lab to combine your Customized Epic Shrooms with other epic shrooms in your collection, increasing the quality of your customized strain. The higher the quality, the higher the score in the Shroomtopia Cup! When the competition ends, you will be listed according to your strain's ratings. The higher your rating, the better your placement, and the greater your rewards! By doing exceptionally well, you can earn Shroomtopia Cup gems which will lead you to higher leagues of Shroomtopia Cups and give you a shot at even better rewards!
Strategies
1. Grow as many customized strains as you can to get Customized Epic Shrooms
To compete with strain quality, you have to breed it, and to breed it, you need Epic Shroom in the first place! During the event, you will have access to your Customized Strain in the 2nd Greenhouse to plant it. When harvesting, you will have a chance to find the Epic Shroom of your strain. So more strain growed means more Epic Shrooms obtained.
2. Level up the overall quality of your strains
The key to performing well in the Shroomtopia Cup is to level up the quality of your Customized strain. Beside the Customized Epic Shrooms, you will also need Epic Shrooms of regular strains, or even Legendary Shrooms.
When you level up the overall quality of each regular strain like Golden Teacher or Trinity, it increases the breeding results in the Research Field, so you will have more bonus by using them to boost your Customized Strain.
i.e. A level 3 quality Golden Teacher Epic Shroom will give you a bigger bonus than a level 1 quality Golden Teacher
3. Use the right type of strain during breeding.
The second strategy is to use the right type of strains. There are 4 Medical Properties of each strain. Potency, Purity, Enhance, and Euphoria. All strains have Potency and Purity, however they only have either Enhance or Euphoria.
Cultivated Strains - Enhance
Hybrid Strains - Either Enhance or Euphoria
Wild Strains - Euphoria
So the best strategy would be to use Cultivateds with Cultivateds , and Wilds with Wilds. Note however you will sometimes need to combine them to get the best results, but in the end you will need to use the same type to get the remaining property .
4. Use Legendary shrooms
Legendary shrooms are like super strains. They can level up all 4 properties .
Winning Strains
The top players for each Shroomtopia Cup event will have the unique strain they created unlocked as a usable strain for them and all players who participated in the Cup with them. These unique strains can be grown in the 2nd Greenhouse that is to the right to the ferris wheel (by the ocean). If your 2nd Greenhouse is not available yet then continue completing quests for Jasper and it will become available as part of the main story before too long.
